Alex my White Siberian Husky

This is Alex my ten year old Siberian Husky.  She had a kidney removed in December 2003 because it had a large tumor on it.  Turns out it was Renal Carcinoma.  We recently had her screened in May 2004 and so far no signs of more.  We had her and Taylor screened at the University of Minnesota because Sierra our oldest died of Hemangiosarcoma in November 2003.  We were lucky we caught hers and could remove the tumor.  We now have our fingers crossed.

11/7/2004 Alex died last night.  A week ago she stopped eating and we found out that she had cancer in her marrow, liver and pancreas.  Her red blood cells were being destroyed and she could hardly walk without being exhausted.  Finally she had a continual fever due to infection and could not walk up stairs so we had to say good bye.  I love you Alex.
