How to get Citrix to work on a MAC

Google

Hi everybody. I got Citrix to work on my Mac. Here's how I did it.

My system is running Mac OS X 10.3.2 (Panther), but this should work with all versions of OS X.

1. Download the Mac OS X ICA client from the Citrix Web site to the desktop and install it into your Applications folder.
2. If you have any browsers running, quit from them.
3. Run the ICA client application. (i.e. Double-Click on the ICA Client.) You must have the ICA Client running before you boot up your browser for the Citrix connection to be successful.
4. Run a browser. (Safari, the new Mac-standard browser that comes with Panther, will not work. Use MSIE 5.x or Netscape.)
5 . Go to your MetaFrame-published applications and run them as normal.

Apparently the key is that the ICA Client must be active and running before the browser is brought up. The ICA Client will not automatically boot, and I get errors when I don't close out of MSIE before I run the ICA Client.
