I cannot open or save attachments in Outlook.  I receive an error "cannot open file" or an error referencing folders etc.

You have a corrupt Windows Profile.  To fix.

Logon as a local administrator.

Rename the users profile.

Logoff

Logon as the user and a new profile will be created.

Transfer my documents, favorites, desktop icons etc from the old profile.
