Lowes opened a Lowes Home Improvement store in Coon Rapids in 2004 and should have Home Depot sweating. Lowes Home Improvement has better products than Home Depot and the prices are the same or lower. Lowes Home Improvement has excellent product displays that really put your options in your face and make shopping for home improvement items easy. When I visited Lowes Home Improvement I noticed there were alot of staff available who were proactively asking if we needed assistance. When we purchased a large item we were encouraged to allow the Lowes store employees to assist in loading both our cart and truck. The only recommendation i'd pass on is for Lowes to turn the music and announcements down. After a few minutes shopping in Lowes it began to feel like a trendy mall clothing store with the loud music and announcements. Other than that i'd always pick Lowes over Home Depot unless prices go down, staff becomes more available and product display goes up at Home Depot.
