If you want a classy place to eat in Maple Grove, run don't walk to Granite City Food & Brewery.

This is one popular restaurant.  Located just outside the Arbor Lakes Mall in Maple Grove the parking lot has been packed with shoppers.  This is common with any new restaurant in Maple Grove but my visit proved that Granite City will be busy for a long time to come.

The place looks nice, just as you would expect.  The table dining area and bar are nicely walled off by a HUGE bar.  Inside the bar are LCD or Plasma televisions everywhere the eye might look.  The variety on the screens should have something for everyone.

As you would expect in a brewery the Granite City Food & Brewery makes four of their own beer flavors.  Samples are available though I highly recommend the Octoberfest.  The menu has a great variety of choices and the Buffalo burger with garlic mash potatoes was quite good.  What impressed me the most was the service.  As soon as I was seated the waitress not only introduced herself but asked my name and was very familiar.  I figured I just had a good waitress but soon after the manager stops by.  Introduces himself, asks my name and hangs out to chat about the brewery and the beers.  I ordered the stout but the waitress overhears me and the manager discussing the Octoberfest and she brings a sample.  Very classy service.
