We made our second trip to the Melting Pot Fondue Restaurant with a group of ten friends. On a busy Saturday night the Melting Pot Restaurant was able to accommodate us at either an early dinner hour or late. We chose the earlier time 5:00pm and met at The Melting Pot. It was a good thing we went with the earlier time as we were there over four hours. Not because the service was slow but because that's how its designed. It was a great way for our group to get to know each other over some good food and wine. Our previous visit to the Melting Pot was with another couple. It was a good chance to try the place out and see what we liked and didn't like. Eating at The Melting Pot is best done with a group as everyone can share the choices and try everything. Dinner for two is offered however as well as appetizer and desert fondue as sides. When we visited the Melting Pot with just the other couple there were too many things we wanted to try but couldn't so we had to make another trip. Your food is served in courses, appetizer which might be dipping bread in melted cheese, main course which might include cooking meat or vegetables in oil, and desert which would likely involve dipping things in chocolate.
We had smores and dark chocolate as you can see below. We did a group dinner called "The Big Night Out", I highly recommend the Meritage which features various meats even Bison which was delicious. A seafood plate was a favorite by the others because it had a lobster tail that everyone agreed was the best they'd ever had. The wait staff at The Melting Pot was top notch and it was fun to watch them make the desert and cheese fondue courses at our table. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for a night when you want to turn dinner into an evening event.
