Shop Till You Drop At Mall Of America

If shopping is your main objective for visiting the Mall of America, or simply “the Mall” or MOA (pronounced MŌ – ă), you are not alone. And you won’t be disappointed with the huge variety of stores for all of your shopping needs. With four major department stores: Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Sears, and over 520 other retailers and specialty shops and carts, you will be in shopper’s heaven. Grab a Directory from a Mall of America information booth when you enter the Mall. These guides are updated monthly, since new mall stores are always opening, and other stores move from one location to another. The guides also feature a great map of the Mall of America, including restrooms, phones, elevators and cash machines. If you park in the East or West parking ramp, look at the signs so you can find the car later – each level is named for a State.

Other Helpful Mall of America Shopping Hints

q       The four anchor stores are located at the four corners of the Mall Of America

q       The anchors are located counter-clockwise in alphabetical order (Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s Nordstrom, Sears) – this will be helpful when you walk out of Sears and wonder which is the quickest way to Bloomingdale’s – go the wrong way and you’ll walk an extra half mile!

q       Between the four anchors, sides of the Mall are North, South, East and West (actually called North Garden, East Broadway, South Avenue, and West Market)

q       There is no sales tax on clothing items in Minnesota

q       Grab the MOA newspaper flier as you enter – these come out monthly and will highlight any special events that are happening during your visit
